In 1975, George Rolla began his welding journey as a student at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario. Over the past 50 years, George has transformed from a passionate welding student into a highly respected professional welder and industry expert. Today, he is one of the very few welders in the world to hold all four major American Welding Society (AWS) credentials: Certified Welding Engineer (CWEng), Senior Certified Welding Inspector (SCWI), Certified Welding Educator (CWE), and Certified Welder (CW).
George’s story is more than just a personal achievement—it’s a testament to dedication, skill, and continuous learning in the welding industry. From his early days welding in the challenging conditions of the High Arctic to becoming a leading figure in Southern California’s welding community, his journey embodies the true spirit of a welder’s career path.
